sepsisurvivor
Hi all , My move is finally going ahead A purpose built shed will be the home for my girls I have trades in the family that can do this and I'm hoping to run my 2 thinkgrow 630 model H's in there Sealed room , AC , gas , chillers ... Sounds easy ...but... Which system ? I've used most types of systems ranging from coir in fabric pots to current culture systems The difficulty is that I had a lower leg amputation end of April this year due to sepsis I'm eternally grateful to the NHS for saving my life and aiding my recovery Ramps and bars can be erected to help and I also have a prosphetic leg that I can use .. presently I can wear for 2/3 hours and walk 400 meters ... With a stick During the build I can make most things accessible..although access to plants and watering are going to be a challenge I'd like to sit with the girls as much as possible I am looking into a mini wheelchair etc would love some advice on the easiest /best system or method for me ? Complicated I know .... Thank you in advance S
Shumroom
Check out the system used by @stu914 Hydro without the need for chillers or medium Good luck whatever you decide to go with Atb

stu914
@sepsisurvivor Hi bud, What size space do you have? If it's large enough I see two options... One is to have the plants grouped in the centre so you can access round the outside. The other is to have the plants around the walls, leaving the centre for the wheelchair. Your headroom will determine if you can raise the res to chair level easist way is to increase the size which also means longer periods between res changes...less work to do. My system is probably the one of the easier with minimal maintenance once the setting up is done with very little clean up afterwards...Give me a shout if I can help bud.
sepsisurvivor
Thank you @stu914 the shed can be built to leave gap for a smaller chair that can stay in there and being used down the centre Height can also be achieved to make for less res changes Is there a particular thread/topic that best shows/explains your system.. @Shumroom has just sent me the gavie system details S Edited 13 hours ago by sepsisurvivor
stu914
@sepsisurvivor Have a look in my profile bud, several examples of the system I use along with some pics...There's also my shed build thread in there. Sorry I'm rubbish at tech so can't do links and stuff. Tag me once you get started, really interested to see how you get on. Good Luck Edited 12 hours ago by stu914 2
