Hi all,

Looking at a NL5 Something GHS...a pure foxtailing plant. It seems someone love foxtailing plants...other not ?

Here with a 280w AC IONFRAME evo3 that foxtailing me all the time. ( From 70% to100%).

I grew several plants and spot a magic subbie seed ( Motivation x Smile)...amazing sedling, plant...BUT.

When flowering..the plant was a pure 100% foxtailing plant. Growing everywhere...

Beautiful unique amazing plant.

Is foxtailing a problem?

Is it a big problem?

Is it stress ok..and? I am stressed as well....so?

Does foxtailing taste better? Equal? Worst?

Why are we concern with foxtailing?

I coudn't try yet Motivation x Smile...but I will try. The high is the most important to me. Harvest was quite good actually.

Whats your view on foxtailing?

Usually it's Genetics or environment that plays a part, but also seems some light configurations are exacerbating the issue further.

Personally I don't mind a bit of foxtailing, but you only want so much before your yield becomes too effected, your pic of the one that looks like pure foxtail I would consider too much.

My last Blueberry Muffin foxtailed loads lol

I'd say you have a light leak looking at those, are the lights turning off properly? I've heard people say they've had lights that don't turn off but rather dim instead. Not so much your brand but worth a investigation imo.

There is an issue with the light for sure in terms of intensity..with 1,600-1,800PAR in the center...light stress for sure...

But whats your opinion? Do you consider an "aesthetic" problem or there a loss in potency, effect/high ..?

Too much light! But I'm aware of the discussion regarding spectrum influencing or even awakening latent foxtailing tendencies in some strains more than others. Mine's a sativa hybrid with semi auto lineage, I doubt you'd have this problem with heavy Indica strain but who knows.. Anyway, indoors, you should at least try for evening out the canopy via screen or training. That way you won't be half cooking and half lighting the plant, meet somewhere in the middle. :D

Yeah I think it's the IONBOARD and the IONGRID? Can't recall what mine was called but it's the panel 200w version. I'm rebuilding my old ScopeV1 to see if these 'kitchen sink' LED's are the cause of weird growth.

To be continued..
