I'm sure you'll be fine, plants don't care if hard or soft, I just think they like that golden 3:1 cal:mg ratio. Get that right and water is water. Check your local foreign owned water extortion cartel monopoly's report. London tap is 18:1 cal:mag! lol

Thanks @ControlLED. I've top dressed the soil with the same plant magic, about 2 inches of extra soil and, all being well, that has near immediately brought the PH down to 6.6 and I think I will keep the ph slightly lower in the feed to the end to hopefully stop the drift again.

I've been using PM soil for few years now. Definitely doesn't do the same. The foam doesn't seem the same and roots aren't any wear near as good.

Interesting id always thought that calmags were good for helping nutrients uptake as well. They seem to work better for me if used later on. I'm in a soft area as well
