Hi people I want to put together a micro grow ( i suppose it is a micro with tent size).

Β

I've been looking about I wanted a gold omega infinite but is abit pricey for me right now , so kept looking and I think I've ended up at Mars infinity TS1000 150w dimmable boars .

Β

I also seen a Mars hydro FC E1500 150w

Β

Is there a difference between them other than aesthetics?

Β

Is there a cheaper but better quality any one could recommend?

I can't really see anything for that price, the one above in the video is about Β£199 from what I can see so 60quid more than the mars one. It's specs on paper look fine assuming Mars are telling the truth (they used to tell a few fibs).

That "(2024 New Version) Mars Hydro Dimmable FC-E1500" par map don't look very well spread.

350W/M^2 - 35W/ft^2 easy to remember rough guide to get into the ballpark of fixtures to consider.Β

Β

I've run a 0.4x0.4 full grow, single plant area for the last few years. Guide above gives about 60W. Used a dimmable 90W Viparspectra originally, followed by a later 100W Viparspectra. Their smaller units have worked well for me, never used the larger units.Β

Have just removed the tent from within a wardrobe and now have 0.75x0.46. So looking at somewhere around 120W. My small fixtures combined 190W.

Viparspectra ..... for a 60x60 you got the 1500 .... they're cheapish, solid build (metal) and good light output with low energy usage ..... @Military GradeΒ and I are fans of them :hippy:
