Viparspectra xs 2500 pro

Hi Folks,

I wanted to start a sticky for this Xs 2500 Pro.

Because there is little info out there and v few diaries in comparison with other lights.

Also there is a little ambiguity with the light distance and ppfd.

I have the latest model which has full dim to off (june 24)

Seems like a quality piece of kit.

Seedlings at 13" at 20% right now and they seem happy.

Photone app gives me ppfd 295 at this power and distance.

Thanks for reading and please add any helpful notes on this model.

C

@chrononzon23 does your model have fixed dimmer % positions, or is a complete linear 0-100% adjustment?

For example you could set it to any % you like?

Hey mate, 0/20/30/40/50/60/80/100 are the settings.

Strange but happy to have a zero/off.

I'm at 20% and nervous to increase while they're so small and while i have only crude photone app to gauge power😅

@Military Grade he's your man for vipra

The addition of co2 means i wont be able to gleam much from sweettooths setup but i'll have a good rummage around.

Good work sweettooth! Let us know your model of xs 2500pro please? Same dimmer as mine?

Not bad, more options than a lot of more expensive lights out there. 👍

Reason I asked is that more % options means less moving the light itself up and down 👍

Yes it's only good.

This light still confuses me though!

I mean, whats the point increasing power if it needs to go higher from canopy?

With one hand you increase intensity/wattage and with the other you move it farther away!

I need to school myself in signs of too much power. Yellowing leaves just like a nutrient difficiency!

Watching and learning🤔

Looks like 0-10v dimming, that will turn it to off. 1-10v or 0-5v won’t 👍🏼

Not all drivers are the same, but it seems more and more LED are offering it. The ACI controller 69 operates from 9-16v, so has the power to change a PWM signal to an analogue voltage between 0-10v and the same for fan speed. Have you or @Military Gradeplugged your light into a 69 controller?

The only difference it will make is the sun rise and set things that I'm not really interested in, maybe one day 👍

No. I have the 69a but not interested in connecting it.
