Torture Gardens - Soil recipes and Pot Experiment

NOTE:

Don't use such super soil for germination.

0% surviving after pop out. Too many nutrients for germination ... And I would say for seedling also.

To use for transplant only

Did you let it cook before using it?

No....no one day:(

The transplanted ones love it from the first day...but seeds didn't.

Soil + osmocote not sure how much should cook..but the super organic ones...( Which of course I used with seeds)

Yeh mixing up a fresh batch then planting a seed in it is most likely going to end in failure, happened to me recently.

Let it cook for a month ideally and give it a mix every now and then. I've got a bag of terra seed mix that I'll be using in my next grow, I plan to mix some in around the area where the seedling will go to make the soil mix a little less potent.

I agree that germination should require more "light" recipes. Also specific genetics ( mephisto for example) love very neutral and soft starting point.

I have to admit that I like the soil recipes I am testing in the torture garden.

Exept the germination mistake ( which I repeated:) both soil nutrient blends and irrigation works well.

Happy I didn't give up with Blumat...

I am still using it with 5l tank and no headache about it....roots are great!

I have expanded the quantities a bit for some other experiments.

A bit of a mess. Everything growing on top of each other and unfortunately the cover of the greenhouse is reducing considerably the light penetration. But for security reasons that's the maximum i can do.

Using the UNI-T and converting X 0.017

If Full Sun is 1,300PAR

in greenhouse full sun is 750 PAR and shaded areas around 150-200 PAR.

Let's discuss the expression:

The sun beat any light!

Blumat tomato roots...

I am curious to see OT1 BF2 & CeliaxCelia which I will move indoor next week.large.IMG_20240602_093237.jpg.70bb0cd26a19e26283edf235ae0cf75b.jpg

Organic Super Soil recipe for germination:

With lettuce and yellow beans the soil is not cooking the seeds and working fine.

But again every genetic has different needs.

  • 1 month later...

Update:

Coco + Osmocote its a surprise .... Leave still green ( 4 months)

Full bio not so efficient...

The greenhouse doesn't allow enough light....fluffy buds....

Flowering in this environment it's a Waste of time in my opinion ( Lot of smell and littke buds). Growing is ok. Keeping mother and father is good.

Really keen to try Coco + osmocote + hard water indoor with open line halo or drippers.

Blumat works very well with basil and tomatoes and other plants ....the blue dream and onda calabra are under timer drippers.

I noticed all these soil experiments actually didn't include water experiments....

Summer without water ... impossible

The true is that I am thinking more and more in pure hydroponics...Ebbs and flow,

DWC, RDWC,.....NFT....Big pipe without clogs.

I won't go for any chiller, and there should be a way to avoid it. Winter grow. Outdoor tank.

Just thoughts.

Just experimenting with a ¥5 oxigenator with 2 stones, some yogurt container, a recycled solar panel. ( A solar panel in UKartica?)

ESB selected cut ( by me:) by Flor du Mal

White Whidow Bilbao Cut clone by Lagun Zaharrac

I'll help you if I can bud...

The systems I've put together are designed to get round problems found with others.

Here's some...

Not able to move the plants around or be removed from the table (NFT, DWC RDWC)

No chiller needed as roots aren't constantly submerged (DWC, RDWC)

No rootball needed before entering the system (DWC, NFT, RDWC)

No medium to dispose of after the grow.

There's probably more...:yep:

Here is where I can arrive with the plants in the greenhouse.

Although RH 30%-40% during the day with sun. I guess night is a problem.

If any brilliant easy/cheap tip to solve this issue, I guess I am finalising trying  flowering outdoor.

Mould again in the main cola for both plants.

2 weeks at least more to go.

80% of outdoor Its bin it.

Blue dream ...

@Slippy One

This one was done thinking about you.

It's Coco with osmocote 5-6 months 5gr/l.

Still very green. Only hard water.

Mephisto it's a pity....this haze smell incredible.

large.IMG_20240809_123059.jpg.ec12baad942ce02c3d077d24126080b5.jpg

Unfortunately the greenhouse, location, security, etc doesn't allow for the best sun conditions.

Buds are not hard at all.

I will chop this weekend trying to save the rest, but not sure how nice the vape will be :(

Greenhouse it's brilliant from March to October to Vege and avoid the need for a vege room.

Another recycled experiment.

Fage 5% clone propagator experiment indoor.

Timer + air and water pump. 3 plugs cuts.

- Erba del Diavolo ( ACA calabrese rossa)

- Bilbao White Whidow cut

- ESB #2 cut

15min on 30-45min off

Will work? Dunno! Let's see together?

I will be away until September for work.

Let's see if at my return I will find something alive:)

Sorry all this thread seems now hydroponics into soil thread section

Apologiese.

I will stop here this post. I will combine several into a grow diary.

Thanks to read and support.
