Crow River
I've only got three autos in my wee polytunnel, just started flowering. The honk is such that on a sunny day it can be detected about 50 yards away, possibly further. So God knows what your neighbours must be getting a whiff of!
OldFord
@Crow River Mate tou know me ....i really couldnt give a fuck who sees my plants but i do care about the smell levels ! Homestly the last thing on my mimd when i come into hospital was the smell factor .... wasnt til i see the pics .... i thought shit ! Fellow old gits gonna spread manure tomoz so hopefully help. As much as i would like to shuffle them about and lower the volume ... theres not a lot i can do , will make it up to them when im home.
Crow River
Manure will definitely create an interesting mix of aromas! I do a similar thing where I add fermented Bokashi to the compost bin, as it starts to rot it stinks quite badly. Helps mask the heavenly fug coming from the polytunnel... 2

Yeah i normally use my own compo but over the last year or so i been rough and not been keeping on top of the compo stocks. Im normally very good but just not been upto it. Praying the manure masks some of the niff, I can see in the pics the giant lilies are coming out so thats another big help and there must be the other lilies around the borders / paths and neighbouring fences....so we should be ok. Sure Mrs OF will soon tell me !

OldFord
Mrs OF come to visit today and i got zero grief for the stench in the garden The reason for me being able to grow copious amounts of plants and get no brief is the Smell Defence Team ! A few snaps of the smell defence team Hundreds of lilies. , roses and a a few other heavily scented variants 8 1

NormanNugget
Beautiful stuff man. I love that your garden includes loads of other awesome plants to go along with the ganja jungle and help keep it all kosher. Respect to you and Mrs OF. 3
OldFord
@NormanNugget @bfehillbilly Thanks guys To be fair i have done nothing in the garden for a few seasons now as simply not been fit enough. Despite my lack of trying its been Mrs OF thats tried to keep my messy end of the garden & behind the workshop semi tidy as her end is lovely ! Also the bamboo is a life saver for obscuring the view from my girls , not a total block but def distorts enough that you cant quite make out its not firs & pines. I generally stick to De Jaeger for the giant oriental lilies and Harkness for the roses .....both have proven to be highly scented and despite copious neglect seem to thrive year on year. Flower Power and hay medium do all the other work and i just offer neglect 6
