CANCARD

Will the Cancard mean the police cant take my (personal amount) of cannabis of me if I am smoking in public?

Will the Cancard mean I can't be given a drug driving test?

@doejoe the cannacard has no legal standing to protect you from arrest, a drug driving conviction or from your ganja being taken away..

no tell, sell or smell is always your safest way to medicate or a private prescription but there are legalities to that too..

I dont see how a piece of plastic issued by some Carly somebody can have any better legal standing than a medical prescription.

Dear officer - does that look like a legal prescription to you? I suggest if you think it is illegal, you check back with someone senior at the station before you remove my legal medicines from my person since my lawyer will sue you for all sorts of stuff and clearly win.

and if you are feeling really energetic,

oh, and here officer, is a copy of the letter from my specialist prescribing cannabis. you can google him, his work and qualifications on your phone.

Are you writing everything i have said down? since i will use it against you when my lawyer sues you.

Or;

Here is a dodgy piece of plastic. Carly says she has lots of friends, and has been photographed with richard branson.

So how is a medical prescription better than the Cancard or Medicancard, as been referred to medicinal cannabis clinic by my GP way back?

Thanks for your response!

Hi @doejoe because a medical prescription has clear legal standing. the prescription is objective evidence that oyu are legally in possession of a prescritption medicine.

carly's card has no legal standing at all.

the prescription might also protect you from a drugs test since again it is objective evidence that you are legally entitled (in fact legally 'encouraged') to have cannabis in your blood stream. Is fact its inevitable - if i follow my specialists precription requirements, as i do, i will have sufficient cannabis in my body to show up on police tests, as i must do as i write this. So the test is maybe pointless since there are no recognised guidelines for cannabis test level for adversely affecting your driving - which is the only legal test i need to pass.

NOTE; i do not drive, and i do not condone people driving, when possibly advesrely affected by any medicine. dont do it. cannabis can be in your system and not adversely affect your driving.

One more question sorry.

Will it still count if I am carrying cannabis not purchased through the clinic?

(After I have been given the initial instruction and bought through the clinic once of course

I can only smoke leaf/trim as the buds block up my sinus which I doubt the clinic will sell so I plan to buy from the clinic once, then obtain my green elsewhere

@doejoe

I would always store and especially carry cannabis in containers clearly showing the prescription.  The rossers / cps would need to be very keen and turned on to try to prove the actual provenance of the contents.

So I've got a few (about 5 now) friends and a family member who are signed up to private doctors like sapphire or have a cancard. I've been following closely and was at one point t pursuing it myself.

However.

My friend who's disabled and has a proper medical prescription had police force his door (after he opened it, boot in door) they came in and took all his labeled prescriptions, paraphanaelia and his 4 plant grow op. He's was arrested on production with intent to supply. I assume it'll get reduced to cultivation and hopefully the intent to supply us dropped too, he had about 2oz and a 10 jars of extract at a rough estimation.

I believe it was due to a small parcel being intercepted in the royal main but Things like this have seriously put me off having my name near any sort of database.

Again ita just 1 case and I am still optimistic that we are moving in the right direction. Altho for the moment I will fly as low under the radar as possible.

Great info in this thread so far best of luck to you all

Was it his prescription medicine that was intercepted in the post?

Thanks

I think its a load of rubbish and all you're doing is putting yourself on the radar for illegal activities.

Say fuck all, dont be a knob upsetting people, don't sell and im sure you'll be ok.

If ever stopped by police for drug testing whilst driving, knowing thc can still be on your system /saliva upto 2 days for some heavy smokers and even longer in blood, just refuse and accept that there's a 12 month ban coming for failure to provide. Far better that way claiming all you've done is enforce your right to refuse random testing without suspicions than accept then get named and shamed for being what some might call a "druggie"

Do you think it was the prescription that caused this or the intercepted parcel?

Thank you for your response

I have also read about Medicancard, which apparently gives you a solicitor that specializes in cannabis laws if trouble does ensue?

I just sent my GP referral questionnaire off to a local medicinal cannabis clinic, but from reading some of the posts is like people are suggesting this could be more trouble than help?
