I believe you have just described the autopot system :)

Would you use auto pot or alien? I like alien because it uses bigger pipes so less chance of getting blocked

I wouldn't use either tbh.  I don't like the autopot system as I'd need to put too much trust in a safety valve - I'd prefer something a little more manual.  There's a post here somewhere on the alien systems, there are good but are massively overpriced.  I think the essential problem with alien is you don't need a four inch pipe to supply a small flow of water to a few plants - they developed a specialised, vastly over-specced expensive rig.  Maybe if you had a footballl ground full.  maybe.

My general consensus here is you gotta go with what seems right to you, as you're the one who'll be using it, and it's going to come out of your money.  Value isn't always down to just cost :)

Thanks you lot! Awesome.
I set up these drippers ages ago to assist soil growing with plain water when I was away or it was inconvenient to feed.

Now I've started growing in coco and I'm blown away by how easy this is, yes mate. I am only one week in but am seeing incredible growth like I've never seen in soil. I've got a good feeling about this. I'm so greatful.

1.5ml/litre of Canna A and 1.5ml/litre of Canna B. (Showing 750 ppm total with a cheap TDS meter.)
PH reduced to 6 using testing drops and PH down.

Feeding until run off once a day.

I should have done this ages ago.

Hello mate

You should start ramping your feeds up to multiple per day. Don't go straight to 6, gradually increase it. Your plants will learn and respond. Because of the multi feeds you lower your ec.

20% runoff which is for the whole day's feedings not 20% every feed.

Compost tea once a week

Silicon.

large.20190205_211827.jpgSorry @unity I forgot all about this. See the dodgy sketch attached.

Pushfit is simple to use. Make sure you use pipe inserts. If you think it's feasible for you, you tube fitting pushfit or sonething like that.

For the parts listed in diagram it'll cost about £15 from screwfix.

Hope this helps

Hello guys

I m about to install my run to waste aoto feed, what s your opinion about this setup?

16mm hose,1500l pump,6mm/1.5m long x6 plants.

Will this manifold stabilize the pressure?

cheers

Put one of these on each length / open close to balance the water flow.  You can do it by eye or use a flow cup if you want it exact

What are you guys using for runoff? I've got this auto watering system which I love now, but still need to go up daily to manually extract the run off or else my dehumidifier is running 24/7 to deal with the rise in RH.

I ve decided that today is a good day to finish my autofeeding construction. As i m a clumsy m@therfucker,it s better to make the questions first, than end up like this:wallbash:.

So,first question is :Can i use the air intake from the pump,as phyphoning line?

large.IMG_20190507_160300.jpg

If not,i m planning to put a 90% corner to the exit of the tube, will it be ok to make the phyphoning line inside the tank, just before the corner connection or is better to make it out?

Sorry about my English.

Cheers.

I liked this system then switched to bio bizz.only thing that gave me problems was the 4mm Air tubbing popped off the spikes n flooded the tent.stuck a few small tie wraps on job sorted.possibly go back to this setup .

Hello guys great thread thanks to everyone who’s contributed especially @thesaint and @goldensyrup it has been a great read. I am going to attempt this in a few weeks at the end of my next grow just a few questions.

1. Would the manifold that @countrocksuggested above work to stabilise the pressure and if so where would I put the syphon line?

2. If not and I built the ring system where would I put the syphon line?

3. And lastly if the res is higher than the pots will you always get water dripping through because of gravity or does the syphon line eradicate this? I couldn’t quite figure this out after reading through the comments.

Sorry if these are stupid questions or have already been asked but I’ve read through all 28 pages of this thread and this was all that I was left wondering. Thanks Kush:smokin:

There you go @Kush123  .Works like a charm,so does the manifold. 6x1,5m ,it s giving about 400ml at each dripper.

1.It does.   2.The same place,into the tank it s better.  3. No.

large.IMG_20190514_225436.jpg

Make it at a high level, before the exit of the hose.

Thanks mate so just to clarify your syphon goes in before the manifold but quite high up? Have you got something stuck in the end of the syphon line? Do you or anyone else use a inline filter before the manifold and if so where do you get them or what are they called I can’t find any?
