oh gawd ,i dont have to sit down and write another bloody royal decree to force him to do it do i? ive had boris on me tits all week somethin bout closing part of lament or some landed gentry rubbish ..take me about a week to come up with a decree ..weve got visiting royals from some lithuanian country ..they brought beer so i hear ..

Currently got 2 sat in a glass of water hoping they'll crack tomorrow. Pot Noodle (kind size) sat ready to go.

 

I'm only going to be able to give her about 4 weeks before flipping over to be sure to finish in time, but given how small pot noodles are I'm sure that'll be plenty.

Anyone got any tips on scuffing the seeds before cracking? I've not tried it before but think I'll need to try on this one as the seeds really seem to struggle to break free.

why ,scuffing is for old seeds or very hard seeds usually ,a good soak of warm water will soften the shell and get the tap root twerking .

 

scuffing is just scratching through a thin layer of outer shell but not through to the actual plant .to make the shell thinner so water can penetrate easier for germination .

Cheers Vince. Just so I'm clear, when you say warm, I'm assuming about 30c? Or warmer? 

 

Hopefully this'll help the seed break free on the next one I crack.
