I've always used sparkies tape in these situations......got a bit give and won't cut in if ye leave it on.

I thought you meant the stainless wire...no the garden wire will be absorbed by the plant.

Will that not cut right through the stem and leave it half severed? Or will the stem fuse itself after growing over the wire?

It will fuse and look as if the Punt never happened...and it will be stronger.

 

I've just got to keep an eye out for any infection..

Progress:

Last update of the month, last update before the flip.

Very low temps in lights out, to be expected when it's -5 outside.

RH fluctuating madly but...the proof is in the pudding, the plants are doing OK, they look healthy.

Since the Punt, I've been reading up on internal plant pressure. One of my other plants has also been Punted and it was weeping water from the repair. The leaves were seriously Canoeing. Leaves will Canoe when the plant cannot transpire effectively. It's called Turgour, measured in Turgidity. So I wrapped some insulation tape around the repair and it's cured the Canoeing. 

 

Green Poison FV. Lot 233 Jun 2018:

Training is continuing.

Nice white thick roots showing at the bottom of the pot, it's more than ready for the flip.

Transpiring well, no Canoeing.

After this many days my cuttings are usually a foot high, this one is taking it's time but it will get there. Good job I'm not desperate to get it flowering.

That humidifier investment was a wise buy m8,i bet you've noticed a big difference to the plants.They  look like now of what i call"horny" and looks like they re taking off  for good.

Seems like we're going to have another crowded tent here.

Nice update @Punts and to sorry to hear you've had another punt in the garden, maybe try covering the repair with honey as it's a natural antibiotic and might help speed up the recovery.

Cheers Serp, I've used the honey on outdoor injuries before, for this lot I've got the Hydrogen peroxide at hand...the cut on my hand got a bit infected but the H202 sorted it out.

Lowered the light to try to compensate for the sub zero temps outside.

Struggling with temps and RH but the root zone is steady..if your feet are warm...

Changed my mind on the 14/10, flipped to 12/12.

19:00 light on..07:00 light off.

I'm prepared for the stretch.

Watering every three days now.

Not seen a Fungus Gnat since the gravelling.

Thinking about the pollen....

Punt repair holding up, it's almost absorbed the wire.

Transpiring well, no Canoeing.

Living up to its name, nice and green.

It's a labour of love now, normally I would have chucked it.

Looking a bit pale in the Allmix. Maybe a bit of stress causing a bit of lock out.

It's spending 12 hours under the 600 and 12 under the 125 CFL
