Cursed
@Saddam Does it cover any of the recent controversies? Or does it just look at their origins?
Saddam
Pretty much covers everything, I realise they aren't everybody's cup of tea but I love them for their originality, artwork, videos, and especially for not giving a fuck what anyone else thinks. @Cursed Edited August 6 by Saddam

As soon as I saw they were making it I had a bad feeling, as soon as I saw it was being directed by Eli fucking Roth (well known for his sense of humour ) I knew it had gargantuan turkey written all over it. Another great franchise shat all over, first with the massively disappointing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and now this E2A I still can't get my head round that decision, I can imagine the studio exec meeting "Who should we get to write and direct the Borderlands movie, the games were over-the-top tongue in cheek humour so someone with a history in comedy." "I know, let's get the bloke who pretty much created the unfortunate noughties boom in sadistic torture porn with the utterly execrable Hostel series." Next up a new rom com written and directed by Rob Zombie Edited August 9 by Boojum
Shogun
Extreme Prejudice - Modern western directed by Walter Hill and starring Nick Nolte and a few other familiar 80s faces. Decent enough movie, you can't really go wrong with a Walter Hill movie, always solid action and shoot outs. I think this movie might have been remembered better if it had been made as a traditional western. 7/10 The Heroin Busters - 1977 Italian crime movie. This movie hits the ground running. First few minutes of the movie and we go from Hong Kong to New York via the Dutch red light district while a syringe is loaded and injected into an arm, accompanied by a very funky psychedelic Goblin score. The only negative I have about this movie is the clichéd dealers and users otherwise a very fun movie, full of action and sleaze. 8/
Gsyrup
Alien Romulus - 7/10 Fan service movie through and through, its an enjoyable film with a couple of really amazing scenes, there is deffo some lining up of a new trilogy, and it ties in the Prometheus movies a bit. Some of the characters were a bit of a let down (Cailee Spaeney did a great job though), and the CGI cameo was a bit wank tbh.
Saddam
I thought it was a pastiche of memorable scenes from all the other alien movies and done so badly I was laughing at suff before it even happened because the writing's just fucking awful. Jebus, I'm still fucking cringing at the cameo. Eta - Felt like a shameless cash-grab or at the very best, a fan-film which was inspired by Alien Resurrection rather than based on the original film, the characters are all cunts, the writing is predictable and then it goes full retard. There's nothing to the story despite their being plenty Easter eggs from the franchise dotted around for the older fans.
