Do you bother to weigh stuff? yeah I did a bit of the old picking rot out at my lesser good (for airflow) of my x2 auto plots. It kinda worked… but inevitably kept getting more rot which starts to whittle down the yeild … it worked better with the Urban Legends Acid Kush & Gorilla Auto than the RGSC GSC… tho I think due to the bud structure. I noticed both of the Urban Legends ones had way more leaf making up the buds (insanely crystally) than the GSC’s…with the Acid Kush being more resistant than the Gorilla, I think the higher leaf ratio helped with the mould, that was my theory … the GSC’s was proper solid buds not much leaf in them, really tight nugs, easier to trim. But you wouldn’t want it to rain later on if your growing them, the GSC’s seemed to rot rapidly … I tried a bit of Dos Sweet Dos recently.. but got a bit hot during the weather in mateys cupboard grow… also dried to a bone so not much terps .. quite nice tho. I’d like to try the strain properly and see what all the fuss is about. Same with Zkittles.. I’ve never tried a proper bit. Just a wierd no flavour or smell Pheno that I grew. We nicknamed it Urban Durban.. coulda been anything.. not the brown brick weed. This was green in more recent times I’ve wondered the possibility that UK outdoor was being sold as an import weed. Was a long time ago…from what I remember it sometimes looked like the seeds had been added into the layers of compressed weed.. dunno maybe to make it look more credible as an import .. would obviously be a strange thing to do. But I wondered, even though there would have been less GG’ers in the UK with the knowledge than now with the internet… that there probably was some very large plots about pre drone …not saying there isn’t still some large plots about but pre drone so much less to worry about doing that something else I’ve pondered.. I’ve noticed mouldy bud. (got about 50 grams dried in a bag from this years autos, kept for future experiments)… smells very similar to what was the brown brick weed we use to get, we’d call African Bush.. I mean it was brown too jus like mould .. I use to hear they dried the stuff in the Sun.. but yeah was it mouldy bud? Real jagged, pointy, Sharp looking leaves This Mighty Gold Bx1 has started flowering. Earlier than the outdoor plant the cutting was taken off last Season another Whitey Freeze a Royal Mazar cutting in flower. This one was really wilted a few weeks back from the scorch. I know there were people with fields of it in the 90s over here. Always had a few rouge seeds looking out of place from where they missed all the males or had a Hermie in the mix. I didn’t know as much as I know now and at that point living in the place I was living I hadn’t even really smoked proper skunky type bud, it was all hash or these kinds of compressed weeds… but yeah thinking back some of it I swear was sometimes like compressed leaf, maybe trim leaf with layers of seeds in it to make it pass off for compressed bud, you could peel the layers … when I first moved to a bigger city the first skunky stuff I was getting was also compressed, that was Dutch export apparently.. an eighth looked like the size of a gnats bollock right off on a tangent again… I see a lot of ‘posh’ hash around these days.. meant to be from Morocco, it’s all squidgy and weedy, rare to see classic Moroccan Pollen these days.. it’s all this weedy stuff. I mean I have heard and could believe a lot of their traditional strains have been replaced with imported hybrids … but I often wonder if it’s some kind of bubble type extract made from the warehouse sweepings of big Dutch grows … dunno Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was lucky growing up. We had all manner of weeds and hash coming in . Then I moved down south and my uncle and his mates used to be in the import export game . So I got spoiled. Yeah mate, think it was 98' the first time I had UK grown Neddaweed. They were after bulk and the weed was shit in comparison to what we can grow now. Proper leafy and dull on the terpenes. On a nostalgic one, used to get this hash. Came in bars like chocolate. Proper oily and resinous, fresh and green inside with a nice tinge as it oxidises . Your sort of confirming my suspicions about the ‘Urban Durban’ there was an amazing hash for a few years.. use to come in really flat thin 100gram bars… they were calling it chocolate.. there was a whole wave of it, it bubbled if you put a lighter to it, well a lot of the weedy ones around today still do. But this was something special, still had that Moroccan hash kinda smell and taste but really rich and Royal, double zero , Maybe? It seemed super pure and delicious … one day it all stopped and never saw it again. Word was whoever was bringing it got done… Apparently the newer nowadays very squidgy what I’m calling weedy hashes are still coming from Morocco but somethings changed for sure.. different strains.. was having a convo recent times a fella was telling me depends what binding agent they add to the Kief. A lot of it does seem to oily to me… Yes definitely growing your own cuts out the crap.. as soon as I left home and got my own place I remember straight away donning a disguise outfit to visit a grow shop to buy my first 400watt sodium. Was a bit more para then days… indoor growing wasn’t nowhere near as widespread as it is today in UK i remember more funny things.. got some funny stories… before I left my parents place I use to try and grow indoors in little cunning spaces I would create .. once I drilled a hole in my bedroom cupboard ceiling, ran an extension lead under my bedroom carpet which plugged in behind a chest of draws, then went up through the hole in my cupboard ceiling, I tried to do a cunning grow in my parents attic…. Didn’t know much, was using standard light bulbs.. I wasn’t that clever either cause I was skint so would steal my dads extension leads out the garage… anyway the various different operations I would attempt would get found and terminated… eventually I got kicked out of home for a short while.. again like a dumb ass I’d stolen my dads extension leads but like a little shit was bare face lying and saying I hadn’t taken them until he ripped it from under the carpet again and went mental little shit… Id nick my Mums cutting powder out of greenhouse too and attempt things.. all the while I had the Sensi Seedbank catalogue under my bed. Real bud porn.. I would read that thing back and forth from cover to cover… drool and imagine what these marvellous looking buds might taste like… This was pre internet so that little catalog served as the catalyst for my imagination to run wild..think I could still name every strain in there without looking Shiva Shanti, Super Skunk, Ruderalis Indica, Northern Lights x Haze #5 etc etc… I’d gaze at the pictures and drool while smoking my soapbar bongs…. eventually years later I made it to Sensi Seeds and bought some seeds direct, massive seeds they were, big brown monsters I remember, but non germed.. maybe I bodged it in the airing cupboard. Erbman T Posted August 20, 2022 Share Posted August 20, 2022 (edited) This Girl Scout Cookies Auto by RGSC is bangin’ When I harvest and dry I tend to keep the flowers from each plant even from the same strain in separate storage as phenos can vary so much I’m not even in glass jars. Just ziplock baggies… darnn when I opened this one now after a bit of cure the smell is delicious ! Really fruity… the Purple Pheno is more earthly, different look and different smell and taste all together than this… I’ve defo gotta run a few more next year even if it is a bit of a rot trap yummy!!
