The Sheriff of Nottingham
I'd love to see some OD drying porn This has already been uploaded in my diary. it's from nearly 2 weeks ago so things have certainly got a little more congested under the tarpaulin since then... Also, the drying facility is much more open and exposed than it looks in this picture. There just happened to be no wind at all at the time of the pic, so the sides of the tarpaulin are completely relaxed and hanging down. That is from a medium sized tarpaulin... and if I had to guess, I cut off about 1/4 of this medium sized tarpaulin to make this shelter, so it's less cover than it looks. I have a second shelter going up at one of my plots in the coming days. One reason for the second drying station is down to space issues, but the other reason is that it just makes it easier come harvest due to the locations of different plots.
Loam Gnome
Its great to see you getting good results with such a simple outdoor drying set up In future you can hang whole plants up and open up the tarp canopy for greater airflow too. I'm not going to lie though mate... I'm finding these outdoor buds are lacking the taste and smell of indoor dried buds. Maybe they just need to be cured properly, but it could be because they're left outside & exposed to the elements for a week or two following harvest. They're still just as potent though, which is the important thing IMO. I dried my autos outdoors in cardboard boxes this summer, and they came out tasting and smelling way better than the ones being dried under this tarpaulin. They were only in the cardboard boxes for 5-7 days though before dry, compared to 14+ days for buds on this tarpaulin drying rack. You'd think the slower dried buds would be better, but obviously not in this case... There's just so many variables though as to why that could be
Loam Gnome
Outdoor drying is done out of necessity and not ideal for sure. But if you strike it big one season while living in a space not safe for indoor drying, then it's there as a back up.

I was in Cambodia last year for 5 days and an American woman in our tour group had her bag snatched in a motor scooter drive past, and the amount of pickpockets & distraction thieves was insane. It's worse than Thailand for that. All I wanted to do was watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat in peace, but we were being repeatedly harassed by pushy street merchants and dodgy looking locals who would come up right behind you, and I was always convinced that I could see their hand reach out in the corner of my eye. I'm guessing someone slipped your phone out your pocket when you weren't paying full attention, which is why I spent the whole trip with my hands in my pockets. It put a real dampener on the whole trip. I even got scammed in Phnom Penh when I tried buying a $5 bag of weed. It was 90% tree leaves, 10% actual bud, with the bud part sticking out the top of the foil to trick me. Crafty bastards. How was your Angkor Wat experience?
