Boojum Posted March 8, 2022 Author Share Posted March 8, 2022 (edited) Was in a shockingly bad mood Saturday night (dunno why, Liverpool won, just bloody bipolar mood swing shit ), decided to give The Holiday another go and I'm up to episode 3 and enjoying it. It's got that thing that does annoy me about a lot of potboiler/thrillers (and horror movies) with people behaving in an inexplicable manner just to create plot points but that's a minor gripe about lazy storytelling that can be applied to loads of stuff, other than that it's enjoyable in a guilty, watching everything fall apart kinda way Edited March 8, 2022 by Boojum Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Keye Posted March 18, 2022 Share Posted March 18, 2022 OK, not heard it mentioned on here. I found what I think is a bit of a gem.... it's currently on Disney+, but just bare with me... Mr. Inbetween. Australian hit man, 3 seasons, fucking sublime. The main character is the original writer, filmed a short movie and then spent about 5 years or so developing it and getting picked up by a network to make a series. It's really good, in my opinion of course. I've not heard one damn thing about this, at all. Nothing. It's never even popped up on my 'things you should watch' list on any platform ever. No one I know that I've spoken to has heard about it. I watched the first episode and then sunk the rest over a couple of weeks. There's loads of clips on YT but they all spoil the crux of the episode as far as I can see.
