Reveal hidden contents Can anyone explain why 'the burn' in STD caused all star ships at warp to explode? The say all dilithium went inert so wouldn't that just cause the ships to drop out of warp? Which Star Trek is worth watching ? I'm not been sarcastic , just wondering , I've only seen the original and the one with Picard

As Boojum said once DS9 gets to the Dominion storylines it is much better but it takes so long to get there. Discovery is pants.

She voiced Brea in the sublime Dark Crystal reboot. Dark crystal reboot good then? I have pretty much ignored it to date

I couldn't stop watching. @Degsy Discovery is dumbed down to the point where the sci-fi doesn't even apply to known laws of physics. At least other ST series have at least tried to obey a few fundamentals. Watch it but only if you've seen everything else. Boojum
Loved the original Swedish TV adaptations of the books, didn't think much of the Kenneth Branagh versions though

Some good episodes to be found in all ST, you've just got to wade through the shit. TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise all have some great storylines.
Hir
Shine on Harvey Moon. (1982) Starring Kenneth Cranham, Maggie Steed, Elizabeth Spriggs, Linda Robson and Nigel Planer Just rediscovered this little gem. Difficult to believe that such a mainstream show back in the day was so blatantly socialist. All available on youtube. . Degsy
I've never seen Shine on Harvey Moon but talking about blatantly socialist how about Boys From The Black Stuff . I really want to rewatch that now and see how different it is from my memory of it . I didn't watch it when it first came out but probably in the early 90's .
Boojum
I've started re-watching The West Wing on the Channel 4 streaming thingy. I know it's wanky liberal nonsense about a fantasy White House somewhere over the yellow brick road, or the rainbow, or summat (and even more so now that Trump has happened ). But the dialogue is just so good There's a rhythm to it that's almost like verse.
