Any one else getting this problem? What's your temperature and humidity? Where and how are you sowing them? Are you treating them with any solution/feed to start? HippyHair Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 My routine. Use john innes potting compost microwave it to kill germs put seed straight in. I've tried soaking a few first in water still no go, i may have had the temp at 27c throughout with watering everyday, keeping it moist. so perhaps they got to wet and hot, i've just potted 2 more seeds this time i will let them stay at 23c and give them a bit more air see how it goes. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Dont water too often or they will damp off and die like they have been, they need to dry out between watering. Road_Runner Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 Nah, I just meant dont let them stay wet all the time or the little tap root will rot and the seedling will die on you. Can you not germ the seeds in wet paper towell until the tap root shows a bit and then put in the soil? Only reason I suggest this is because then they will get up above ground sooner and you can therefore start a wet/dry cycle as soon as they get above ground?
