He taught me most of my production skills. He used to be a big time ganja smoker but he can't smoke any more. It messes him up but he misses it. He used to throw proper diva hissy fits if he got off a plane to do a gig abroad and the promoter didn't have any weed for him. "I'm not fucking playing till you get me some weed!!!!" He still gets asked where Roland is. He's actually put a picture of the module he first used on his new forthcoming album to spell it out to people. He had a gold pressing of it on his bedroom wall in Shepherds Bush and yeah Roland was in his there too. A very clever man. I went to a friends wedding on a private beach in N Devon about 2 years ago, and after all that 'I DO' malarkey, just as the sun was sinking into the sea, they kicked the party off with Moulin Rouge and the cliffs just shook.
