Only three flowered as yet... IS FUCKING BRILLIANT! Its the one in my sick plants thread... Apologies to OT1 for the general state of my plants but this is probably my worst grow ever... but this plant is one of the best results!! (smoke wise.. This pics of 6 and a half weeks.. Cambium Posted 18 hours ago Share Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Bump so after a 10 odd year general hiatus in growing and especially anything that might be worth keeping, I'm pretty happy with the way these smile are looking. Finally got them under a 400 mh after being under an old 250 mh until around week 4. Now somewhere around week 6...I think, prob let it go another week 10 days at least. And yes I know led etc. Digital ballast and bulb is what I know and what I had to hand getting started back up. Very happy to see a trait that I used to love in some of the Smile phenos I have grown, trichs starting to flush purple from the stipe up. Used to grow in a 2.5m2 space with a 600 hps and a 400 mh at either end of an ally bar that I'd spin 180 degrees every day. Those were the days next run I'll probably do mh veg to just past stretch, hps from 2-3 weeks then finish under mh. It's all a bit old school these days and no doubt super inefficient, but that's ok with me while I find my feet. It wont be long for you to catch the curse again It's been pretty hard going not having a proper grow space for so long. There was always something missing. Generally avoided most grow sections, only interacting sporadically. I started reading around when I knew I was starting back up and tbh, the whole thing feels like its spiralled into deeper and deeper levels of complication That might be why your getting a sense that we've stepped back in time. I just thought fuck it, I know what worked for me back then produced some of the finest cannabis anyone on the planet could wish for. The kits all there in dusty boxes, just crack on. The (relative) simplicity of growing cannabis was one of the amazing revelations this place gave me all those years ago. Particularly Arnie owderb and ot1. When accessing info via grow shops, the wider internet or magazines back then prior to finding 420, it was very easy to get the impression that growing quality drug cannabis was some sort of mythical thing that the canna gods bestowed on only the few. Feels like we've come full circle back to those dark days Reality that this place revealed and I hope continues to reveal, is that it's just a hardy annual. Pot up, get your environment dialed in, cut when suits your needs and allow time for a nice cure. Job done. Advanced techniques and expensive tech just makes accessing this life changing activity all the harder. Sure I'll pick up on some bits and bobs, but happy stepping back in time with the strains and set up for now. e2a - been trying to track diwna macro shot that Mr M took of the trichs flushing purple, but the search function feels like it's missing loads of stuff in the results. @Joolz is the site still indexing from the upgrade?
