its been a while since i posted in this thread, for some reason it seemed to disappear. some nice tracks posted recently.

im digging the killa instinct - hellmonica album at the moment, killa instinct were one of my favorite groups back in the early 90s, i had the pleasure of seeing them live with gunshot in 1991 / 92, my first hip hop gig and the first time i ever used fake id to get into a club. they only released a few tracks in the 90s one of which 'the bambi murders' is often regarded as the best / hardest britcore track of all time. they seemd to disappear for a lot of years then popped up again in the mid 2000s with a few limited vinyl releases then an album last year. they still have that raw early 90s britcore sound with thier unique horror style but with slightly more modern beats. the album is well worth checking out.

also loving the el-p and killer mike 'run the jewels' ep, after not being able get enough of both thier most recent solo albums this collab ep is a very welcome release, beats and raps are dope as hell. el-p's is way ahead of his time with the beats as usual

heres another group im really liking right now, rime force most illin, this is a project put together by luke sick, a bay area rapper and founder of one of the most under rated hip hop labels of all time 'gurp city'. gurp city is actually more of a large group of artists and djs rather than a record label but highly under rated none the less, very few people know of gurp city outside thier local area and thats a massive shame

luke sick is also lead rapper in a few other groups (sacred hoop, grand invincible etc) and also a well renound bay area rap tape collector. both the rime force most illin albums have been inspired by early 90s san fran bay area rap groups and thier limited cassette releases, even in 2013 rime force most illin albums are being sold on tape cassettes and no other physical format.

some more luke sick dopeness, this time featuring z-man, another one of gurp citys finest mc's and one of the worlds most under rated mc's. combined these 2 rappers have released over 20 albums in the last 20 years but are still largely unknown. its sad times in the music industry when you have amanda holden throwing around the term 'hip hop' on her panel show like she knows what it means and these seriously talented and hard working artists probably have to work 9-5 jobs to fund thier own rap careers. these guys are hip hop.
