i was an obsessive hip hop vinyl collector for years. around about 2005 i lost internet access for a couple of years and stopped buying vinyl (a blessing in disguise for my bank balance). i now only buy vinyl when an un missable piece turns up (like that dmx record) nowadays my obsession is cannabis and growing and rather than spending all my spare time hanging around hip hop vinyl forums and watching the vinyl auctions on ebay i spend it hanging around uk420 getting just as nerdy but with strain lineage and growing techniques instead.

:yep:

ive picked up a lot of useless nerdy knowledge on hip hop and vinyl over the years, unfortunately i have no one to share it with. kind of similar to the knowledge ive picked up on weed and growing. if i was to share my cannabis knowledge with people in the real world it would be obvious i was a grower and id land myself in trouble, if i was to share my nerdy hip hop knowledge with others i would more than likely bore the living daylights out of them.

There seems to be several peeps on this thread that could all sit around, vinyl spinning and spliffs flowing, that would definitely not be bored by your interests :)

While I am a hip hop amateur - having listened to it from 88-92 and only recently picking up the interest again - I'd be more than happy to sit about while you spin tunes and tell stories :D

so every time i post a video up here it comes hand in hand with a bit of useless information from a recovering hip hop nerd vinyl junkie.

Don't stop :D

one day soon i'll organise my collection and post some pics of some classic and rare bits of vinyl :dj:

Get cracking :D

I used to love going to Groove records in Soho for imports back in the day! So much wicked music and it was all underground unlike today's commercial beast. I was lucky enough to see Public Enemy LLcoolJ Run DMC Eric B and Rakim EPMD and Stetsasonic at Hammersmith Odean and Brixton Acadamy in the late 80s. When rap crossed over it lost some of its appeal to me and I became a cheesy Quaver lol but my roots were always Hip Hop.

cheers negative creep, your comments are much appreciated :stoned: as for the lench mob album, its considered by many to be the most racist hip hop album of all time, theres a lot of unnecessary white devil hating in that album, some nice beats in it too though :smokin:
