^^^thats more like r&b or funk or soul or even pop, i dont know what genre it actually is but it aint hip hop, although gnarls barkley aka ceelo green was in a rap group called the goodie mob in the 90s, they were associated with outkast and made very similar music, was a fan of them all in the 90s but dont like what they do nowadays

four of the best bronx mc's from the early 90s, lord finesse, percee-p, andre the giant and big l (RIP), all these rappers (except big l of course) are still releasing good music today, well worth checking out the new showbiz and ag, lord finesse and perceep releases (and if you add diamond and oc to this little group of mc's you have d.i.t.c.)

lord finesse (featuring ag and percee p)- yes you may

lord finesse (featuring big l) - yes you may remix

staying on the d.i.t.c. vibe, this time fat joe, not usually a fan of fat joe but i am a fan of chi ali, didnt think he would be releasing any more music since he was jailed in the mid 90s for shooting a man point blank in the face, somehow he got freed from a life sentance for murder very recently

any 90s hip hop fan will remember a young chi ali, and any 90s hip hop vinyl collector will have doubles of all chi ali records since the first versions his voice wasnt broken, they re recorded them all after his voice broke, both versions are good imo

Puts a smile on my face this one.... " if everbody smoked a joint, relieve the mind, the world would be a better place!"

And another serious favourite! Seen GhostfaceKillah just recently in Amsterdam. One of the best mc's still on the planet!! Almost brings a tear to the eye this one...

just found out about this over on one of the hip hop vinyl forums i hang around on. a master ace ep made up from unreleased tracks from 1989-92, released very soon on chopped herring records, only 300 will be pressed, im a huge masta ace fan and have been since his first release, master ace has consistently released good music since 1988. this will make a lovely addition to my masta ace vinyl collection :yahoo:
