Popular Post oldtimer1
In answer to all the members who have asked on the forums or contacted me by pm about my varieties, in that they are no longer available and whether they ever will be again, I would like to point to what I said at the time some 6 months ago! I have decided to make a break, ugorg has grown beyond what I envisioned, I never intended to produce seeds on a large scale. I’m no longer going to work with ugorg or supply them with my varieties, I’m going to go back to small scale cooking, testing crosses with friends help and in my own good time, no rush or demand on me, or my time. I’m not sure how I’ll do it, but I’ll find a way of outing my lines on a much smaller scale. If you look back at my varieties history you will find that I originally started selling seeds mainly to support this site, “uk420” and the knowledge it dispenses, when that ended and the ugorg concept was muted I asked them if they would like to sell my seeds, it seemed a good way to still support uk420, as support forums and banners have to be paid for putting back into uk420. It may be my fault but I envisaged a small seed boutique type of thing. Well it grew so I started spending a lot of my time making seeds just to keep up with demand and not doing what I loved, I don’t want to spend my time doing that, to me this is still just a hobby and thats what I am going back too. Please read the quote below and the 2 posts I made earlier in the topic to fill in why I am doing this. Well Im very glad that you did! And Im sure loads of other people are too! Come on OT, that must at least put a little grin on your face, you cant be that much of a 'grumpy old git' I've been retired for quite a good time now, its all getting to be a bit much to be honest, its getting hard to get up and down the stairs the fact that some people like my cooking is cool, but its also taking a lot of the diminishing time left to me, I need to down size and get single story home. The problem for me is the more I do, the more people want, a good portion of my saved canna genes are in the seeds I make and are out there with growers, I hope people will conserve and maybe select and improve on them. I've mentioned it before, I need to cut back on what I do, sorry but its a fact, a sad, but a true reality, ageing effects us all, our mental and physical abilities decline. I don't mean this to be a downer, but I do have to face up to the realities of life and living with old age. Do you still plan on keeping the 'boutique' idea and release your beans on a much smaller scale, to say maybe members of uk420? It'll be a sad day if you do stop releasing seeds as I've yet to sample all ugorg has to offer. Thanks for all you've done, I can't even start to think how much time you've devoted to our beloved plant. I'm sure we've not seen the last of you and wish you good health and hope to see you on the boards still, as I've gained almost everything I know about the organic side of growing in compost from you. All the best Oldtimer1 Not really thought about it 2hi2try, I will still do what I have always done and cook up beans, maybe something could be done in the future for members and to support the site, its an idea to think on. All the best for the future Ot1. Thanks for the chance to experience some unique and interesting strains. Am I right in thinking this only affects Oldtimes, Smile and C3, the rest being VRG's work? Oldtimes, Smile, Smelly Berry and C3 are made by me, Killer Skunk, Blues and Noname are made by UGORG, while the partner genes came from me and I could make them, they are UGORGS varieties not mine. Does that mean no C3 now? I've been scared to go offline for the last fortnight lest I missed them... UGORG should have enough C3 stock to last a few months at least I would have thought, no idea why they have not put them in their shop, I have never had anything to do marketing. No more questions please, I will be about the forums and try and help where I can. All the best Ot1. I have stock of all my main vars, Oldtimes, Smile, Smelly Berry and C3 + a new one near the end of testing is a possibility, I have no wish to compete with ugorg in any way, if they have any of my varieties for sale I won't offer them! I have asked if I can sell some small lots of unavailable lines from time to time here at uk420 for the full members, mainly to help support UK420 as well as myself to develop my lines further once my house move is finally complete. I have had an ok to do it if members like the idea, the idea is to offer limited batches of 1 or 2 vars 4 to 6 times a year to members who want them, its not going to be all the time when each batch is gone, thats it until the next offer. Feedback on the idea please. Ot1.

Guest TYS
Anything that comes our way from you can only be a good thing regardless of when, how many or how much they will be. I think they should only really be offered to subscribers thus supporting the site in a double barrelled fashion. Cheers OT1 e2a: if you can afford £60 for some seeds then you can afford the £15 it costs to subscribe! Edited October 26, 2011 by TYS

Cheers OT1 I was thinking the same thing too or maybe the more limited vars for subscibers only! Either way it would encourage people to subscribe and thank those already subscribed. Guest Nunsacred
Sounds exactly as it should be, fun and exclusive, and possibly more productive for that.
